GOD is my CEO, and my President

GOD is my CEO

A long time ago I read this book called ‘GOD is my CEO,’ I think almost ten years ago. Honestly, I don’t remember what the book is all about; I only remember its title. It has been a while perhaps I should read it again. I have been living with this belief that not only GOD is my CEO, and my President, but He is so much more. I grew up and have been brought up to believe that God is Alpha and Omega. He is the One Who started all this creation, and the One Who has the last authority. Just like when you buy something and it comes with a manual book, an instruction book, or a guide how-to book, I believe God has the manual book for everything. Not only He has solutions to fix things that have been broken, but He is also the Author of creating new things. To me, He is not just an Almighty Father and God our creator, but also my ever present help. I include Him and His guidance in all areas of my life to help me in this journey called life. God is the only true help we need. His ways of wanting things to be done are always the correct ones.

Take a look around you, and notice the sky, the mountains, the oceans, the greens, the wild animals, our fellow humans, and you will get a glimpse of God’s splendor. But the Bible is also one of the best places to find out about what God is capable of. The Bible is well put together for you and me to learn about God. Not only the Bible give solutions to so many things, but it gives hope to continue to believe and see things on the brighter sides, because if God is our helper, then there is no limit to what we can do, achieve, and be.

I have yet to see and hear about a person, who has lived his or her life, let’s say for 20 years now, and never had any problem, or never got sick, never felt any pain, or mistreated, or whatever. Because life has rocks, okay…the road is never always smooth. And even if it has sands, like beach sands, white and pretty, wonderful ocean breeze, in a given time, somehow even what was once clean may get polluted. That’s how life has always been since ancient times.

About almost all theories, concepts, and laws of some kind about life, like the law of attraction, the law of cause and effect, and other universal laws and principles; I bet if you pay close attention to some of the scriptures, you may find them mentioned in the Bible. May be not very well explained like the way the worldly experts have been able to explain them, but I bet, they are also somehow mentioned and written in the Bible.

Trust me, we need God in our lives, and the Bible is one of the best places to find out about Him. Not only we need God’s help to help us fix what is broken in our lives, but we also need God to help us reveal the new things He has in mind for us, maybe to give us new ideas for things like starting a business or a good cause, the empowerment to be more creative and innovative to come up with solutions, and be able to see life without limits.

Reading from Amplified Bible, Classic Edition version in the book of Psalm chapter 91 verse 1, the Bible says that “ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].” God is the cure for the insecurity. Sometimes I like to read the Bible for selfish reasons; to look for comfort and solutions to handle things. Sometimes I read the Bible because I just want to know more about God.

The Bible has got really good information that we need to know for our benefits; for example when faced with troubles and struggles, one of the scriptures that has helped me to deal with it, is in the book of Psalm chapter 46 verse 1, reading from God’s Word Bible translation, it says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.” Just reading it can give you strength and hope that everything is going to be alright, there must be a way to solve and handle this, because not only with God all things are possible, but He is our ever-present help in times of trouble if we seek Him for help. Many times in my life when I face some kind of limitations, I do my best to make sure God is always the first one I run to, before anybody else. I will run to Him by praying, declaring Bible scriptures that has to say about what God promised concerning my situations, and praising Him through worship songs.

What do you think some people do when the doctors said to them there are no cures for their diseases, or they have only few days to live? But if they know God is the best physician and the one with the last authority, therefore, it helps them calm down and help them break that wall of limitation, and say, “This may be impossible with man, but with God all things are possible.” Some of them because of what they believe, they continue to live longer than what these doctors have told them. Sometimes everything is not as it seems or appears to be.

The Bible has so many scriptures to guide and help us with so many things. Though most of the time it requires you to read the entire Bible passage and chapter to get the understanding of the situation. Sometimes the chapters are related, so in order to understand this chapter you have to read the one previous first, because it is the continuation of something was mentioned in the previous chapter. But you can also find individual scriptures that can also speak to your situation, like “Psalm 46:1.”

Okay, let me ask you, ‘how many of you at least once have had bad experiences with their once upon time bosses?’ We all have had some kind of problems with authority once in our lives. Can you say yes, so that I won’t have to feel I am the only one who has been through this? Hahaha…I mean, especially when you know that you were right, and your boss was unfair. And I have to tell you, if it wasn’t for what I have learned from the Bible to learn what God expects from me, honestly it’s hard to act cool when you are being mistreated. But I did it, because I knew I was working to please God and not people. God is the One Who is my CEO, and my President, and He expects me to behave right even when I’m being mistreated.

My point is that, success begins when you know with God there are no limits to what you can be and become, do and achieve, and even behave.

I have seen people behaving so calm in some situations when things were very scary. There is this couple that I asked before, “How can you remain so calm after this?” They were going through this terrible moment as if everything was okay. And one of them answered me and said, “We trust God and believe He is going to help us make things right in due time.”

That is what happens when you make GOD your CEO and your President. You look to what He has to say about your situation, and perhaps everything, because He is now the One who is guiding and directing you. If you trust in limited people and circumstances, my friends your life will be limited and mediocrity. If you trust in an infinite and unlimited God, there is a chance He may take you somewhere far beyond your imagination. And that my friend is where success begins, when you start having faith in God and believing with God there are no limits because what looks impossible with man, to God is possible.

So what about you; who is the first person you go to or think about when you face a limiting situation? Do you ever think about God? I would like to know your thoughts on this.
