Choose Well. Choose to Succeed.

Your destiny is determined by the choices you make. Choose now, choose well. – Tony Robbins

Is it possible that successful people choose to be successful that’s why they are successful?

Every morning we wake up we decide how we are going to live the day. We make a choice to wake up even though sometimes we wish to sleep a little bit longer; we make a choice to go to work because we could also choose to stay at home. Every day we make decisions that impact the outcome of our lives.

We have choices to make in life. For instance; we can choose to radiate love, good, and peace, or we can choose to live in strife. We can choose to go to the left or right or remain at the center. We can choose to behave or misbehave. Basically we can choose what to say and do. We can choose to change, and create new good habits for ourselves. We have been given the right to choose, but some choices in life have bitter consequences, so we need to choose well. The consequences of our choices affect not only our lives, but other peoples’ lives as well.

Success is not always going to stumble upon you, even though sometimes it can feel like it does. This is because successful people are successful conscious. They attract success because they are constantly thinking about succeeding. Napoleon Hill said, “Success comes to those who become success conscious. Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure conscious.”

Tony Robbins also said, “People who fail focus on what they will have to go through; people who succeed focus on what it will feel like at the end.” A lot of people will give up on something when they feel it’s too much work; they don’t want to put up with it. But imagine how it will be if our projects succeed, or our dreams achieved, or our goals accomplished. That’s enough reason to get us started, keep going, and for us to want to succeed.

Everyone has an opportunity to succeed. But in order to succeed we must first believe that we can succeed. And then we must be determined to succeed. Our desire and determination to succeed can help us overcome almost any circumstance or obstacle.

Sometimes the challenge and problem is not that people are not determined or desire to succeed, but it’s just we have too many options to choose from. I am not saying it in a bad way; having options is a good thing. But it can be a trap, because when you have too many options, and let’s say among those options, only two options are right for you, unless you know your best options and choices are, it’s easy to pick the wrong ones.

You may have really good plans, managed to work really hard, and smart, really determined to succeed, but if you chose a wrong choice instead of what is best option for you; for instance on what career paths to choose, or where you should invest, it would turn out not to be an ideal situation for you. Sometimes you may be successful but just because you are in the wrong path and it doesn’t fit with who you are, you will not be satisfied of your success even after you have succeeded.

It’s amazing how we can be. Sometimes God may be pointing and pushing us to the right direction, but we can still choose to resist it, until life teaches us the lessons, and then we realize there is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to destruction.

You have to choose and be determined to succeed. Tony Robbins said, “You have got to be hungry for success.” So what does that mean? It means choose to live right and choose what’s best for you and do the right thing even if it’s the hardest thing to do. It means work really hard and smart. It means to focus on the long run instead of giving to instant gratification. It means to be responsible, live within our means. It means to make plans, and make really good plans and commit them to God. It means to choose to live outside our comfort zones, and let no fear stop us to go after our dreams, and achieve our goals. It means preparation, and investing on ourselves so that when opportunities come, they don’t pass us by, because we’ll be ready. And that is luck my friend; being in the right place, at the right time. We can create our own luck. It takes courage, discipline, perseverance, willing to change, and et cetera to do all those things, but again success is a choice.

Our success is going to base on the choices and decisions we make. Successful people make good and smart choices and decisions that give them successful results. Success is a choice. We have to choose to succeed because success happens on purpose; success happens by choice. It always comes down to making good and wise choices and decisions.

Every day we are making a choice, and the choices we are making today are going to determine our outcomes tomorrow. It’s never too late to start making good and better choices – however small in effort, because whatever we do today will change our tomorrow.
