Success is Intentional

In order to be what you want to be in your tomorrow, you have got to do it today by taking necessary steps based upon your aspirations, dreams, and goals you have for your life. And if you manage those goals correctly, each step you take will become a progressive realization of success in your life. Since we all have just one life on this planet earth to achieve what we want to achieve, we must act accordingly. As we keep our eyes open for opportunities, usually open doors will follow.

If we can identify and list down things what we need to do for our personal and professional goals and do them on a regular basis we would make tremendous differences in our lives. Things that we know even if they are not urgent, but they are truly important for our personal and professional growth and success. All those things that we can put off because they are not urgent, but since we know they are important, we decide to do them even when we don’t feel like it.

For example; in business, as an entrepreneur it could be front end selling, sales prospecting, creating contents, products, and services, branding, networking, establishing business relationships, and all other things that must take to building a business. If it’s personal, it can be exercising or working out, investing in yourself by reading or watching and listening to teachings and inspiring messages regularly. It could be financial, may be you need to plan ahead, a long-term financial planning, and be disciplined enough to delay gratification to be able to commit to it.

Success is intentional. You have to do it on purpose. You can start by knowing exactly what you want to achieve, then why you want to achieve it, and knowing what the kind of a person you need to become in order to achieve it. Brian Tracy said, “For everything you want in life, there is a price you must pay, in full and in advance. Decide what you really want and then determine the price you’ll have to pay to achieve it. Remember, to achieve something you have never achieved before, you must do something you have never done before. You must become someone whom you have never been before. Whatever you want, you’ll have to pay a price measured in terms of; time, effort, or personal discipline, etc. Decide what it is and start paying the price today.”

If your dreams and goals are important enough, then it’s important for you as well to get started, and if you already started, then it’s important for you to keep going. Make this also a thumb rule of success; you will need to adjust yourself, and be flexible for improvement. There are things you will learn along the way that they will teach you there is a need to adapt to the environment. Things are changing every day. Customers’ behaviors are changing every day. Technology is changing every day. The world is changing every day.

You can notice successful people by their traits. Just like Jim Rohn said, “Success leaves clues.” Some people dreams and goals are to become renowned writers, other to become best teachers, some very successful entrepreneurs, excellent engineers, or great doctors, and so on. These are all different occupations, different paths, perhaps different actions, but we all know they all require commitment, consistency, determination, steadiness, patience, or hard working ethic for example to become them. Such traits we should not ignore, they are also the main parts of our pathways to our success journeys.

Pastor John Maxwell said, “The secret to your success is determined in your daily agenda. Success is not a destination, it’s a journey. You make decisions and manage them on the daily basis. When you worked all your life to become an overnight success and all of a sudden somebody recognizes you, somebody congratulates you; you didn’t get good for that moment, you have been good for a longtime, it’s just showed up someday.”

Maybe to you the hardest part it’s not that you don’t have a clear vision of your future self, but you are struggling to determine what exact steps you should take to get there. What you need to do is to let your intuition guide you whether it’s in your relationships, career, and the life of your dreams because such traits like your intuition, being restless, focused, ambitious, enthusiastic, and having stamina, they are also part of our pathways. Success is deliberate; it’s a habit. Success is an intentional thing. You have got to think it on purpose. You have got to plan it on purpose. You have got to do it on purpose.
