Three Concepts That May Change Your Life

Here are three concepts that you didn’t know or pay attention before that could change your life today and tomorrow. They are very simple, but very powerful.

  • Don’t be afraid to ask

Just don’t ask with bad intentions, because people especially the smart ones can really sense the phoniness and insincerity. Most men know how important this is. Men were created to be hunters. And you can’t teach a hunter how to approach a woman. Somehow they kind of adapt quickly as the communication keeps going. If you are marketer, or in a marketing business, or a spokesperson, an asking skill is a must learn for you. A marketer has to learn how to sell; must learn how to persuading people and asking them to buy the goods. You have to ask your customers to subscribe to your network, to buy your services and products. And if you are sincere, the worst thing can happen is for them to say no. So don’t feel ashamed to ask. In the Bible in the book of James chapter 4 verses 2 to 3, it says, “You don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong.” There are few kind people out there who if you have got courage enough to ask them they will be willing to answer your questions, to partner with you even if it’s in prayer, and support you in one way or another. Ask God through prayers. Ask others. Not all are going to say yes, but at least few of them will, and the important thing is that you gave it a try. In the book of Matthew chapter 7 verses 7 and 8, The Lord Jesus said, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

  • You are not your body

What you invest in your body is important but it’s temporary in a sense that it’s only needed while you are here living on this planet earth. But what you invest in your soul and spirit can remain eternal. You are not your body. You are spirit who possesses a soul and living in a body. Your body is the house that your spirit lives in. And your spirit possesses a soul. You know like when we say we possess material things like a car, a house, a land, and so on. So your spirit possesses a soul. I am not taking credit for this information. I have learned from listening to Pastor Creflo Dollar sermons and Bible teachings. Your spirit which is you, possesses a soul which contains or carries your mind or mindsets, your memories and knowledge you have accumulated, your senses, your feelings and emotions. Therefore, when we leave this planet earth and going to be with the Lord, it is the spirit man and its possessions which is the soul that go to the next dimension of the afterlife. So change your mindset and change your life. It is the spirit that profit, the body doesn’t profit anything. If God takes what is His, your spirit, your body basically is no longer needed. In the book of John chapter 6 verses 63, reading from King James Bible version, The Lord Jesus said, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” It is the spirit man that speaks, not your body. It is the spirit man that causes your body to move. It is the spirit that creates and causes things to come to life. In the book of 2 Timothy chapter 3 verses 16 to 17, it says “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” But also in the book of John chapter 14 verse 6, it records, “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.” Pay attention to what the Lord Jesus said and did. One of the reasons He came to earth is to show us the example of the way to live as a child of God. His Words not only are life, but truth; therefore, they have power of the last say, and can override many words, things, events, and so on. You know like that song, “When Jesus says yes, nobody can say no.” So invest in your spirit and mind by studying the Word of God, listening to Bible teaching messages, and so on. In the book of 1Peter chapter 2 verses 2, it says “Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.” The more you read  and study the Word of God from the Bible, the more you become spiritual mature, and grow spiritually. It will transform your mind and change your life. Be selective on what you choose to influence your life.

  • Value your today

The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today. Make your today counts. Preparing yourself for what it is you want to come in your life is never a waste of your time. What you think about, speak about, desire about and do today, are preparing you for your tomorrow. So be intentional. It’s never too late. You can start today. In book of Philippians chapter 4 verse 8, Apostle Paul said, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.” What you think about, talk and speak about, read and listen about, imagine about, you believe about, and do today, you will eventually bring about in your life. So be intentional today. Prepare for your future even if it’s only tiny steps. Preparing is not only about doing things. You can even start praying today concerning your future. What you pray today about you will bring about in your tomorrow. Napoleon Hill has been quoted saying, “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve it.” If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it. This is even from the Bible. In the book of Mark chapter 11 verses 20 to 26, it records, “Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”
