There is a Provision for Each Vision, Mission, or Opportunity

Hi friends, as you know I have been little occupied lately, but we are almost done setting up few things that we want to set up immediately. In the meantime, more good news, you can now schedule your appointments with me. Click here to check availability and book in advance if you are interested. Click here to see what services we offer.

Okay, lets read the book of Luke chapter 10 from verse 1 to 11, the Bible records that “After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road. But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.  And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’  But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’

We learn from this Bible passage a secret…hahaha. When the Lord sends you somewhere, maybe to preach, or tell someone a message that you feel the Lord told you to say to that someone, it means if the Lord sent you, it must be the Lord has a plan to visit that someone in his or her life.

By this time I think the Lord Jesus had His twelve disciples who He appointed and gave power and authority to do the work He was doing, but the harvest was great; so much people needed the Lord Jesus and to hear the gospel and the good news, even to this day still are. There were no laborers, or the laborers were few. So He had to appoint more laborers. And the Bible says the Lord Jesus appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two into every city and place, where He Himself was about to go. He sent them in advance because He Himself was about to go there.

This what I have learned. The Lord is strategic. He doesn’t send people to labor if He didn’t have any plans to visit those people. So be assured when we tell people about the goodness and mercy of God, and preach His Word through evangelizing, do not feel that you are laboring in vain when you see no results of your efforts. Take a look around, the harvest is plenty, and the laborers are on the move, and the Lord of harvest is at work.

In the book of Romans chapter 10 verse 14 to 15, it says “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

So when we tell others about the message of Salvation and about God’s goodness and plans for His people, now and in the future, some people they may not believe right away, some even after they believe, it may take years until they accept the truth and invite the Lord Jesus and the gift of Salvation into their lives, some even after, it may take even more years until you can see the transformation in their lives.

After I got born-again, it took me at least three years I believe to really get myself in line with the Lord. It wasn’t a quick transformation for me, unfortunately. Even after I got baptized in the Holy Spirit and start speaking in tongues, I was still drinking and going to night clubs, you know. I was in love with the Lord, but at the same time kept doing my old habits. It took a lot of the Lord’s effort, conviction, and correction, but also learning the scriptures and the Word of God to transform my mind or mindsets, and start changing my old ways. Even to this day, there are some things that the Lord is still working in me, so much pruning is going on, but I have improved from where I started from. The Bible says in Philippians chapter 2 verse 13 that “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” And until we go to be with the Lord, or until He comes, God will still be working in us. As you can see, it’s a process. In the book of Philippians chapter 1 verse 6, Apostle Paul said, “Being confident of this, that He Who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Another thing we can learn from what the Lord said in the book of Luke chapter 10 from verses 1 to 11 passage is that, He sent them two by two, and sent them out, His seventy disciples as lambs, and said whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.” So sometimes, not all will receive the good news and message about the kingdom of God. If they don’t receive it, don’t beat yourself about it. Keep your peace, and remain peaceful. But if they will receive you, remain in the same house, place, or city. Do not go from house to house. If they have accepted you, remain there until the assignment is done, or the Lord tells you to go somewhere else.

I remember a little while ago, a couple of year’s maybe ago, I was really eager to attend different Churches randomly. There was nothing wrong with the Churches that I attended at the time. I love both Churches. They both fed me the Word of God to the maximum, both have wonderful praise and worship, and are filled with the Presence of the Holy Spirit of God, both are very good in prayer engagements and sessions, both have members and attendees that were kind, compassionate, and welcoming. It’s just I was the one who was frustrated. I was looking for deliverance and healing. I have shared at both Churches my problem with the Pastors and fellowship groups, they have prayed for me, but it reached a point, I got tired waiting for the deliverance. So I would go to other Churches occasionally if I heard that Church, they have a Pastor, anointed to deliver all kinds of situations, hahaha. But then one day I confessed to one of the Pastors in one’s of my home’s Churches, and he advised and said to me to seek the Lord to direct me, and choose one Church where I can grow spiritually and as a godly woman, where I will be fed with the Word of God and fellowship with other believers, and the Lord would meet me and my needs where I’m planted. I shouldn’t be moving from one Church to another.

What we can also learn here is that those who are planted are always going to be the fruitful ones. There are Bible scriptures that tell us the importance of being planted. Because when we are planted, we would flourish. In the book of Psalm chapter 1 from verses 1 to 3, it says “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

In the book of Psalm chapter 92 verse 12 to 14 it says, “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing…” So our goals and desires should be to be planted and rooted in the Lord so that we can bear much fruit, and be fruitful, fresh, and flourishing.

So we can also say that we need to stay in one course until we succeed. We shouldn’t be moving from Church to Church, or from career to career, or this gig to that gig, hahaha. In order to grow and succeed, we need to make a decision, and once we make that decision, we need to stay in one course until we succeed. Not all opportunities are going to be welcoming for us. But if we will be received and welcomed, and we are certain this is God’s plan for us, and it’s what we want for ourselves, then we need to remain in that course until we succeed.  Let’s learn from what the Lord Jesus told the seventy disciples, “Remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages.” When we knock the opportunity, and the door becomes open, we need to stay there until we succeed, for there is a provision for each vision, mission, or opportunity.
