How Can A Fellow Christian Be Born Again?

Hi friends, happy Sunday!

Someone asked us a question very recently how can a fellow Christian be born again?

And I like the question because I just realized I haven’t shared a Salvation prayer yet on our series that is going on now. On our Live to Your Full Potential Podcast, we are currently podcasting a series “Why You Should Be Born Again.” You can view our previous episodes as follows;

There is an amazing article I wrote last year during Christmas season titled “Prepare Your Heart To Receive Immanuel.” I also recommend that you read it.

Just to add, you don’t have to wait until Christmas to receive Immanuel, the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart and your life. You can make Christmas even today if you want too. Jesus can be born in your heart and life today when you pray a Salvation prayer. He was born into the world during Christmas thousand years ago, but He can be born into your world today when you pray the Salvation prayer.

The Bible says in the book of Romans chapter 10 verses 9 and 10 that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Another translation says “For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation.”

All you have got to do is pray the Salvation prayer in this manner (you can pray from your heart and create your own prayer):

“Lord God, I thank You. Father Eternal I have heard about Your goodness and mercy found in Christ Jesus. I believe Jesus and I want to receive Him in my Heart. I repent of my sins. I believe that Jesus died on a cross for my sins and on a third day He rose and now is seated at the right hand of the Father. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and my life. Be my Lord and my Savior from now on and forever more. Thank You, I receive You by faith. In Your Name I pray. Amen.”

And that’s it; welcome into the family of God. You are now a born-again Christian believer child of God. Share your good news with others.

You know, we can’t live this godly life, or righteous life, that God is expecting us to live totally relying on our own strengths and efforts. We need God’s help. And God is a gentleman. He won’t force Himself on you; therefore, you have to want Him to come into your life. Through the Lord Jesus Christ, God comes to be with us, and live in us. When you pray a Salvation prayer, you are inviting Him to be part of your life.

We need God to help us make us what He wants us to become which is His children; sons and daughters of GOD. The Bible says that in John chapter 1 verses 11 and 12 that “The Lord Jesus came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God.” So salvation is for everyone even though it started from the Jews (Israelites), but God made the door opened to the Gentiles also; basically everyone and anyone who will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

You have to understand, when it comes to Kingdom of God, everything has to be done through faith. If we want to inherit the blessings of the Kingdom of God, we can only do it through faith. We can’t do it through our natural or physical five senses which are taste, sight, touch, smell, and sound; we have to do it with our spiritual or sixth sense which is faith.

We can only go to heaven by faith. That’s why faith is very important because everything about God’s Kingdom and its doings requires faith. Our God is a God of faith. We notice God in our lives and His marvelous presence and works and doings through faith.

In the Bible, in the book of John chapter 3 verses 1 to 8, it records that “Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs You are doing if God were not with him.” Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Two things the Lord Jesus said from this passage: One, in order to see the Kingdom of God, we need to be born-again. Two, in order to enter the Kingdom of God, we need to be born of water and the Spirit of God.

But also, we see here a great example of faith and how God works. Even though faith is a sixth sense, but it also has got five senses in it.

We all know faith can see. It’s called revelation, a vision, seeing a big picture, foretelling and prophesying, expectation, insight, and et cetera. People can see promotion coming their way before even it happens. But also faith can be seen. I talked about this in January that Your Faith Speaks.  Your faith speaks, and it can be seen through your actions.

Faith can touch. There are people who touch money before they possess it. They touch their pockets by faith as if they are loaded with money. But also someone can touch you through their faith. I read very recently that this couple decided to adopt a child because they heard this very young baby boy, an orphan praying for a parent expecting to have a home soon, and it really touched them, and they ended up adopting him.

Faith has a smell; you can smell when things are about to get well for you. I heard this couple who shared their love story that the woman knew that the man was going to propose to her. How? She said she just smelled it. Sometimes you just know something is cooking good. You just know God is up to something good. You can’t explain it, but you just know that God is orchestrating some things.

Faith has a taste. The Bible says in Psalm 34 verse 8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” Sometimes the only sure way to know if Jesus is good is if you find out for yourself. I can tell you this; once you get a little touch of God’s favor, it’s the only taste you need to keep going back to Him.

Faith has a sound. For instance; when people praise and worship God that is the sound of their faith toward their God. When I sing God praise, not only I get a taste of His presence, but also profess my faith through a sound. And when people hear my sound they notice my faith. But sometimes you can also notice unbelief, doubt, and rebellion through people’s sounds. The Kingdom of God and it’s system has its own sound, the world system has its own sound.

Bob Proctor said “Faith and fear both demand you believe in something you cannot see. You choose!” In other words, faith and fear requires one common thing which is to believe in something you cannot see. They both work on the same principle of believing.

Job said in the book of Job chapter 3 verse 25, “For the thing which I greatly feared has come upon me, and that which I was afraid of has come unto me.”

If you believe wrong, you are going to get wrong results. In order to get good results, you have to believe right.

So it’s up to you to choose. To believe the Word of God, which is the truth of things about life, what God says about you and about life, or to believe something else. You need to go by faith to be born again. Don’t try to analyze everything situation. Just believe what the Word of God says, His teachings, because His Word has a final say.

Whatever God says its the truth. That’s why it’s important to walk by faith because in the natural or physical, sometimes our circumstances and situations can deceive us. We can be limited in our mindset, but God always has a way when we don’t see a way about our situations.

You want to become and transformed into the Lord Jesus’ characters for instance; behold Him and everything about Him. Learn from Him and do what He says. For we are influenced and become like those people and things we highly esteem and spend most our time with.

When we don’t see a way or how is it possible like Nicodemus, just remember this is God. Just believe what He says, do what He wants you to do, and let Him be God by leaving everything else He promised to do to Him.

In the book of Romans chapter 1 verse 17 it says “This Good News tells us that God makes us ready for heaven—makes us right in God’s sight—when we put our faith and trust in Christ to save us. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scripture says it, “The man who finds life will find it through trusting God.”

Another translation says “For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
