Faith Is Your Servant

Hi friends, hope all is well with you.

Concerning our previous episode, I looked pregnant. When my stomach is full, it gets full…hahaha. When it has no food, it gets flat…hahaha. I stopped exercising because of a few reasons, but I have made up my mind, I will start exercising again. I really don’t want to have extremely muscles and six-pack…hahaha; I just want to have a toned body because I’m already slim.

Another thing is that I really don’t know what is going on, but I think there is a spirit of deception is going on in my life and it doesn’t come from GOD. I rebuke it in my life, in the Name of JESUS! I’m not what the public may think I am. I think of myself as a godly woman. And all I know as for me and my own (future Mclee Juniors) we shall serve the LORD whether we would like it or not. I have already made a choice for us for we don’t want to positions ourselves anymore to be GOD’s enemies.

The Bible says if you are not on the LORD’s side, you are the enemy of the LORD. In the book of James chapter 4 verses 4 to 8, reading from Living Bible version, the Scripture says “You are like an unfaithful wife who loves her husband’s enemies. Don’t you realize that making friends with God’s enemies—the evil pleasures of this world—makes you an enemy of God? I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy the evil pleasure of the unsaved world, you cannot also be a friend of God. Or what do you think the Scripture means when it says that the Holy Spirit, Whom God has placed within us, watches over us with tender jealousy? But He gives us more and more strength to stand against all such evil longings. As the Scripture says, God gives strength to the humble but sets Himself against the proud and haughty. So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and true to Him.”

We are continuing with the subject about faith. It is my prayer that this series is going to help us. There is so much going on right now in the world, and if you don’t walk by faith, mmh…I don’t know.

There are so many reasons why faith is very important. I have already shared a few reasons but just to include more reasons; faith is the down payment for our future. Through faith we can stop our adversaries, the devil, the spirit of deception, and so on, from stopping us to live the Will of GOD for our lives.

In fact the Lord Jesus compared faith to be our servant. Faith is the servant to the believer because faith gets job done for us.

In the book of Luke chapter 17 verses 5 up to 10, reading from Amplified Bible version, it records that “The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith [our ability to confidently trust in God and in His power].” And the Lord said, “If you have [confident, abiding] faith in God [even as small] as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree [which has very strong roots], ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea’; and [if the request was in agreement with the will of God] it would have obeyed you.

“Which of you who has a servant plowing or tending sheep will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat?’ Will he not instead say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and appropriately clothe yourself [for service] and serve me while I eat and drink; then afterward you may eat and drink?’ He does not thank the servant just because he did what he was ordered to do, does he? So you too, when you have done everything that was assigned and commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants [undeserving of praise or a reward, for we have not gone beyond our obligation]; we have merely done what we ought to do.’”

As you can see, this Bible passage gives a clear definition of faith, which is our ability to confidently trust in God and in His power. We don’t have to imagine of how it’s going to happen, we just need to trust that GOD IS WELL ABLE to deliver and perform. The believing comes first, the how will reveal itself later.

So the Lord Jesus said even with the little faith, that little faith can get the job done for us. That little faith you have in God can move the mountains that you never thought can be moved. Because when you have faith and believe, that faith goes to work for you as a servant until it gets the job done. Your faith becomes the servant and you are the master. As a master, your faith is supposed to serve you. Just as we are servants to God, faith is the same thing. As we continue to serve God and do His Will for our lives, continue to believe in Him and trust Him, and His promises, faith also goes to work. You don’t have to sweat for it; you do what you need to do as the Spirit of The LORD guides you, and faith will go to work and do what it needs to do.

Faith is very important because according to your faith it will be given to you. Basically, God does something to the degree that you believe.

The Bible records that the Lord Jesus did so many miracles, but in certain places He couldn’t do, and not because He wasn’t able to deliver and help those people, it’s because those people did not believe in God and His power, and Who the Lord Jesus is. Some were offended because they saw Him grew up. They were amazed of His marvelous ministry. He was not the same Person they knew; He was walking in the Power and Authority of God. But they didn’t know, God works in His clock. It was the Lord Jesus set time to reveal Himself to the world.

In the book of Mark chapter 6 verse 1 to 6 for instance, it says that “Jesus left there and went to His hometown, accompanied by His disciples. When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were amazed. “Where did this Man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given Him? What are these remarkable miracles He is performing? Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s Son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in His own town, among His relatives and in His own home.” He could not do any miracles there, except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith.”

So The Lord Jesus could not do any miracles there except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them because of their unbelief.

It’s according to our faith it will be done to us. We might as well start asking and believing God for big and significant things…hahaha. I’m preaching to myself now…hahaha. Hallelujah!

Another example is from the book of Matthew chapter 9 verses 27 to 30, it records that “As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When He had gone indoors, the blind men came to Him, and He asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored.”

The Bible also says in the book of 1 John chapter 5 verse 14 that “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”

And how will we know it is His Will for us to have and live? By studying His Word; learn of Him through scriptures. And how will we get the confidence that He will hear us? Because we will ask according to His Will.

So we learn today that we have got to change what we believe. We have to believe that God can do it, He is merciful, and when we believe in Him and trust Him, He won’t refuse us because He loves us enough to do it.
