The Bible says in the book of Luke chapter 2 verses 8 to 20 that “That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize Him by this sign: You will find a Baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the Baby, lying in the manger. After seeing Him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this Child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.”
The day of the Lord Jesus Birth, His Birthday, is the day to rejoice. It’s the good news that is supposed to bring great joy to all people. For He finally came to the earth like it was prophesied years ago to provide the gift of Salvation to all humankind. The LORD came to live with humankind. In the book of John chapter 1 verses 12 to 14, it says “Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
I love Christmas because each time I’m reminded of the faithfulness of GOD. What I love is that He doesn’t forget about what He has promised, even if it may take years. You may forget, but He doesn’t. The Bible says In His time He makes everything beautiful. He is a beautifier. In the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 11, it says that “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Another translation says “He has made every thing beautiful in its time: also He has put eternity in men’s hearts, so that no man can find out the work that God does from the beginning to the end.”
But also the Lord Jesus said in the book of John chapter 16 verses 23 to 27, “In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Very truly I tell you, My Father will give you whatever you ask in My Name. Until now you have not asked for anything in My Name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about My Father. In that day you will ask in My Name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. No, the Father Himself loves you because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God. I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”
Mmh…This GOD is amazing! Everything is possible with Him!
I know so many of us we have a long list of the things we have asked GOD in JESUS’s Name. We are expecting some gifts from Him. It could be a health and deliverance issue, salvation for our loved ones, financial issues, directions and clarity, and so forth. But have you ever thought of giving JESUS a birthday gift also? It is His Birthday. And I know, GOD doesn’t need anything from us, but I’m pretty sure one thing He would love is for us to repent and turn back to Him. That is His desires, to have His children’s hearts back to Him, and include Him in our lives, in every area of our lives. GOD wants us to make Him our first priority and the center of our lives. The Lord JESUS died on the Cross to provide Salvation for our souls, that alone is a biggest sign that we are precious to Him. Just think about it.
Well friends, have a Wonderful Christmas.
From yours only (hahaha),
