Farewell 2018 | Welcome 2019

Hi my online friends,

I have been spending these last hours before another year begins reviewing few things, and of course I have to carry over some tasks that I wanted to do this year which by God’s grace I pray I shall accomplish them in 2019. I don’t know about you, but there is always something that I planned to do that I have to carry over to another year…hahaha.

Honestly this year was tough for me, but it has brought me closer to God and to my knees. I faced some opposition, and I really don’t know what was going on, but thanks to God’s Word that is comforting and assuring us God watches over His people.

In the book of Psalm chapter 124 it says “If the Lord had not been on our side (let all Israel admit it), if the Lord had not been on our side, we would have been swallowed alive by our enemies, destroyed by their anger. We would have drowned beneath the flood of these men’s fury and pride. Blessed be Jehovah Who has not let them devour us. We have escaped with our lives as a bird from a hunter’s snare. The snare is broken and we are free! Our help is from the Lord Who made heaven and earth.”

But also in the book of 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 18, it says that “Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” We may not understand why some unlovely things happened to us the way they happened, but good news is that God has power to turn what was meant for our harm to our good. We need to remain thankful and continue to trust Him that His goodness and mercy shall follow us especially in year 2019, because we need it. Some of us need a good break.

Just the fact that we have made it up to this point, and we are still alive, it’s something to be grateful to God. Let us tell the Lord that we are grateful. For the good and bad, we give Him thanks. “Blessed be the Lord, our God. Hallelujah!”

God is a God of chances and a specialist in making everything new. We see it through the calendar year. There is every new day, there is every new week, every new month, and every new year.

As we enter this New Year, may we only carry over the good things, and leave all the bad behind especially if we know is for our best. May this year be a new beginning for us. Some of us it may be a new beginning of our career, others in some of our relationships, maybe to another a new beginning to a healthy situation that she or he has been struggling. May be to you it could be new financial open doors of opportunities that you have been praying for. Perhaps it’s a new year to do some things different; to break old habits and addictions, to develop and operate in a new mindset.

So friends, I wish you all the best this coming year. May God keep and preserve us as we cross over to 2019.

Happy New Year and New You!
